CHURCH CLERK

Every organization that's membership-based needs someone to keep accurate membership count and record its official business decisions. The church clerk is elected to fill this capacity in the local church.
Some of the duties of the clerk may include:
1. Attend church board meetings and business meetings to record minutes.
2. Prepare agenda for church board meetings with the assistance of the pastor and board chairman.
3. Distribute minutes of previous board meeting along with the agenda to the board members before the next meeting.
4. Maintain board meeting and business meeting records.
5. Attend conference-wide clerk's meetings.
6. Document specific job procedures.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL DEPARTMENT HEADS:

Effective immediately, all announcements will be made by the Clerk's staff ONLY. (Exceptions: Departments that have a standing announcement date; i.e. Community Service, 1st Sabbath and Health Ministry, 3rd Sabbath)

If you require an announcement to be read on Sabbath or typed in the bulletin under "Calendar of Events", please notify the Clerk on the Tuesday before Sabbath.

Inserts for the bulletin will be accepted until the Wednesday before Sabbath and one week prior to the event. All inserts should be placed in the Clerk's office (on the table) and noted "For the Bulletin". Inserts should be received no later than 7:30 p.m. to allow adequate time to insert and/or copy flyers.
